The Coalition of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities of the Tuzla Canton, together with the Organization of War Invalids Tuzla, sent a letter to the Commission for Citizens' Complaints and Appeals, and the Commission for Human Rights of the Tuzla City Council with a request to find ways to remove architectural and other barriers in the Tuzla Public Health Center.
As after previous initiatives sent to the City Council and the leaders of the Government and Assembly of the Tuzla Canton, we were informed that a letter was sent to the Mayor and the relevant services, with the aim of undertaking activities to remove architectural barriers in the Tuzla Public Health Center.
We believe that the result of the initiative will be the same as the previous ones, but we know that we will continue to demand that the necessary measures be taken to remove architectural and other barriers to equal access to healthcare services for people with disabilities at the Tuzla Public Health Center.
Estimates by the administration of the Health Center, based on the project solutions they prepared in previous years, say that it would be necessary to invest about 200,000 Convertible Marks for the installation of an elevator and other necessary adjustments to remove architectural barriers.
This would be a permanent solution that would ensure that people with disabilities, as well as all other seriously ill citizens of the Tuzla Canton, can finally use the services of the Tuzla Health Center without the difficulties they face in climbing dozens of stairs.
The campaign "Stop barriers, Tuzla Canton tailored to all citizens" continues!!!!
Because, good for people with disabilities is better for everyone!!!!!!!!!!
