The second meeting of the Working Group for monitoring the implementation of the Tuzla City GAP for 2025 was held.

By Jasminko Bijelić  Published On 13/11/2025

On November 12, 2025, the second meeting of the Working Group for Monitoring and Implementation of the City of Tuzla’s Gender Action Plan (GAP) 2024–2027 was held. The meeting took place at “Favoris” Tuzla and gathered members of the working group — representatives of organizations and institutions contributing to the achievement of GAP goals — as well as representatives of the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities “Lotos” Tuzla.

Discussions focused on various calls, programs, and projects addressing gender-related actions. Special attention was given to women with disabilities, their participation in activities, and their roles in monitoring the implementation of the GAP.

The working group members presented the activities their organizations and institutions are implementing to promote gender equality in the local community. They also exchanged information on achieved results, activity budgeting, preparations for gender-responsive budgeting, and plans for future steps.

Key conclusions of the meeting included:

  1. Members of the working group will submit reports summarizing activities implemented in 2025 that contribute to the goals of the GAP 2024–2027, no later than January 31, 2026.
  2. In order to ensure quality preparation for the process of gender-responsive budgeting, all submitted data should be disaggregated by sex, including specific data on women and men with disabilities.
  3. All information on public calls and opportunities for women — whether intended for all women or specifically for women from vulnerable groups, including women with disabilities — will be shared through the working group’s email network to ensure timely and improved communication.
  4. The City of Tuzla, in line with GAP obligations, will include working group members and institutions in the preparation of analytical reports and other mandatory activities through joint cooperation and contributions from their respective programs.

The meeting was organized and financially supported by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities “Lotos” Tuzla within the project “Creating Policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Line with Human Rights and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”, with the support of the European Union in BiH.
